We will explore how operational philosophies around automation can enable businesses to effectively respond to increasing demand while maintaining quality and consistency. Core examples will explore how to adapt to rapid changes in end user technology without impacting production (vaporizer device standards and form factors are very dynamic); matching production with demand for new or emergent product types specific to a market (infused products, consumables, medical products, etc.); and how to work with OEMs of automation equipment in the cannabis industry to appropriately identify and select equipment specific to your SOPs. Key concepts will highlight the advantages of automation in enhancing repeatability and accuracy of finished products. Furthermore, we will discuss how automation not only benefits production processes but also safeguards human employees from repetitive, labor-intensive tasks, empowering them to focus on complex problem-solving and emergent demands within the production system.
