Tom Bisbee, Production Director at EcoGen Biosciences, is an experienced hemp industry professional with a mind for solution-oriented problem solving. By utilizing the skills and techniques developed while earning degrees in Biophysics and Applied Mathematics from University of Colorado Boulder, he is able to analyze a situation from multiple differential perspectives and determine an efficient and optimal approach to proposing a solution. Tom’s expertise lies in the newly formed hemp industry in facility planning and development, operations and project management, business development, and team management.

Matthew Anderson is the CEO of Vanguard Scientific Systems, Inc. As CEO Of Vanguard Scientific, he has directed the development of novel SCCO2 extraction technology, captured and expanded sales across 8 countries and has taken part in speaking engagements around the world, including Tel Aviv, Cape Town, Toronto, multiple USA venues. Prior to joining Vanguard Scientific, Anderson was a partner in MacArthur Capital, LLP, focusing on due diligence, business development and SME asset cultivation.

Nicholas Herbst is the acting Vice President of Engineering for Vanguard Scientific Systems. After completing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Portland State University, Nick started working for Vanguard Scientific in 2018 and quickly developed a zeal for cutting edge botanical extraction solutions with a focus on supercritical CO2 extraction. During his time with Vanguard Scientific, Nick has spearheaded development of the MIDAS system for use in pharmaceutical grade CO2 extraction operations. In his spare time, Nick works on advancing the field of CO2 extraction for various applications, from hemp concentrate production to high purity essential oil isolation.
Dr. Brian Brandley

Dr. Brandley graduated from the University of Miami with a BS and MSc in biology, and completed his PhD with a Fulbright-Hayes Fellowship at the University of Sydney. Following a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. Brandley helped initiate the first of several start-up biotech companies. He spent the majority of his professional career working in drug discovery and development, with emphasis on oncology, immunology and inflammatory disease indications. In his current role, Dr. Brandley is Laboratory Director at Biopharmaceutical Research Company (BRC), a company dedicated to producing federally compliant, GMP cannabis and cannabis-derived materials for use by academic and clinical researchers
