He worked with the Department of Justice to help shape the legal case against Peanut Corporation of America and testified as an expert witness during the trial. As a microbiologist, Charles uses his industry experience and scientific knowledge to aid clients in Food Safety Plan development and recovering from bacterial remediation events. Charles is a Certified HACCP Alliance Lead Instructor, a recognized Process Authority, a PCQI Lead Instructor, and performs cGMP / HACCP system development for clients of Deibel Labs.

Kathleen May, Founder and Owner of Triskele Quality Solutions, has more than 20 years’ experience as a Quality professional in the pharmaceutical, medical device and cannabis industries. She has worked in every aspect of quality management systems and is a sought-after consultant in regulatory and scientific standards. In her lead role at Triskele, Kathleen offers consultation services for GMP implementation, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, audit readiness, validation, and training to testing laboratories, cultivation facilities, and manufacturing facilities. Kathleen is an executive member of the ASTM International Cannabis Standards Committee, D37. D37 is focused on creating quality and safety standards and guidance materials for cannabis products and processes.

Grace Bandong is the Business Unit Manager for Contaminants for Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing (EFCT). Grace has spent over 25 years in the food and supplement industry specializing in contaminants analysis, pesticide residue analysis and risk assessments. Over the years, Grace has developed contaminant-testing programs that support supplier verification for food manufacturers and recently, the hemp industry. Grace has developed a process for a hazards based chemical risk assessment of ingredients that has been used by companies to respond to global regulatory requirements. She is an expert chemical risk assessment in food. Grace is an active member of AOAC and is currently on the Executive Board of the AOAC Pacific Southwest section. She is currently on the Technical Committee of the US Hemp Authority. Grace received her B.S. in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines and her M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Houston.

Jessa Youngblood is the Food, Beverage and Cannabis Market Coordinator for Hardy Diagnostics. A specialist in the field of cannabis microbiology for regulatory compliance, she is seated with the AOAC CASP committee working on standard methods for microbiological testing in cannabis and hemp.

Melanie has over 20 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, and quality management. She has worked in several different industries, including chemical, biological, oil and gas, and aerospace. Her main role in each of these industries was the development of management systems, including internal audit programs, vendor qualification procedures, and implementation of lean six sigma. Currently, Melanie is a Technical Products Developer for ANAB designing and delivering training courses and supporting client outreach through business development activities. Her role serves as a technical resource to customers, assessors, and other interested parties.
